After Miss Julie: RTC to produce Patrick Marber's play starring Sienna Miller in her Broadway debut

The Roundabout Theatre Company, in association with Sonia Friedman Productions and Ostar Productions, will present the American premiere of playwright Patrick Marbers drama After Miss Julie.

The play transposes August Strindbergs 1888 play about sex and class to an English country house on the eve of Labours historic landslide in 1945.

The production, to be directed by Mark Brokaw, will see Sienna Miller make her Broadway debut in the starring role of 'Miss Julie,' and will bow on Broadway in the fall of 2009.

Miller is known for her roles in the films' 'Alfie,' 'Factory Girl,' and 'The Edge of Love.' Her next film appearance will be 'G.I. Joe: Rise of Cobra.' She was nominated for Bafta's Orange Rising Star Award in 2007.

After Miss Julie had its world premiere at the Donmar Warehouse in Nov 2003, where it received rave reviews.

Mark Brokaw's (director) Broadway credits are 'Reckless' (2004), 'The Constant Wife' (2005) and 'Cry-Baby' (2008).

Patrick Marber's (Playwright) plays, 'Dealers Choice' (1995) and 'Closer' (1997) both played at London's National Theatre and each won the Evening Standard Award for Best Comedy. 'Closer' was produced on Broadway in 1999 and was nominated for a Tony for Best Play.
