Adding Machine to close on 20 Jul

The New York Premiere of Adding Machine, based on Elmer Rices 1923 expressionist play, has posted early closing notices, and will play its final performance on 20 Jul 2008. At the time of its closing, the musical will have played 16 previews and 149 regular performances.

Producer Scott Morfee stated, Adding Machine is a labor of love for all involved. The New York production, which sits so perfectly at the Minetta Lane Theatre, has allowed this musical to get the kind of attention it deserves. My partners and I are proud to know that Adding Machine will prove to be a significant addition to the repertoire of opera companies and adventurous theater troupes around the world, and the introduction of an extraordinary new voice in the musical theater (Mr. Schmidt).
