Accent on Youth: Rosie Benton and David Furr join cast
Rosie Benton and David Furr have joined the cast of Manhattan Theatre Club's upcoming Broadway production of Samson Raphaelsonï¿½s Accent on Youth.
They will join the previously announced David Hyde Pierce (Stephen Gaye), Charles Kimbrough (Flogdell), Lisa Banes (Miss Darling), Mary Catherine Garrison (Linda Brown), Byron Jennings (Frank Galloway).
Rosie Benton made her Broadway debut in Roundabout Theatre Company's production of 'Les Liaisons Dangereuses' (ï¿½milie: 2008), she last appeared Off-Broadway in Lincoln Center's production of 'Saturn Returns.'
David Furr's Broadway credits are 'Cymbeline' (Guiderius: 2007 revival), 'Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf? ' (Nick - replacement: 2005 revival), 'The Rivals' (Footman: 2004 revival) and 'King Lear' (multiple: 2004 revival).
Additional casting is still to be announced.
Directed by Tony Award winner Daniel Sullivan (Rabbit Hole, Proof), Accent on Youth opens at the Samuel J. Friedman Theatre on 29 Apr 2009, following previews from 7 Apr and running through to 28 Jun 2009.
Accent on Youth: Successful playwright Stephen Gaye (David Hyde Pierce) is about to abandon his latest script, when his young secretary offers him new inspiration. With her as his muse, he stages the show on Broadway, only to learn, to his dismay, that the showï¿½s young leading man is being inspired by her too.
The creative team features John Lee Beatty (set design), Jane Greenwood (costumes), Brian MacDevitt (lighting) and Obadiah Eaves (sound).
