50 Shades! The Musical extends booking to 5 April 2015

50 Shades! The Musical, a parody of E.L. James' kinky novel '50 Shades of Grey' directed by Al Samuels and Rob Lindley, has extended its booking period to 5 April 2015 at off-Broadway's Elektra Theatre. The production originally opened on 12 March 2014, following previews from 21 February 2014. It was previously booking through to 4 January 2015.

Cast for the musical's Off-Broadway premiere production features Zach Kononov, Alexis Field, Jack Boice, Tim Murray, Amber Petty, Casey Rogers, Alec Varcas, Melanie Brook, Chloe Williamson and Daniel Bentley.

50 Shades! The Musical opens with a female book club agreeing to read E.L. James' kinky novel '50 Shades of Grey.' As they meet to discuss the book the audience learn about the intensely erotic relationship between Christian Grey and Anastasia Steele the central characters of the novel, whose story of sex, humor, and bondage is brought to life though parody and original songs.

With a book by Al Samuels, Amanda Blake Davis, Emily Dorezas, Jody Shelton, Ashley Ward, and Dan Wessels, and music and lyrics by Al Samuels, Amanda Blake Davis, Jody Shelton, Ashley Ward and Dan Wessels, 50 Shades! The Musical has set and costume Design by John Dunnett, lighting design by Herrick Goldman, and sound design by Matt Kraus.

It is produced off-Broadway by Emily Dorezas, Al Samuels, Andrew Asnes, Rob Kolson, Brett McDonald and 50 Shades Tour LLC.

50 Shades! The Musical originally played at The Edinburgh Fringe Festival in 2012. Since author E.L. James' book was published, more than 100 million copies have been sold worldwide. Universal Studios will release the film adaptation on February 13, 2015.
