2ST announces complete cast of Man From Nebraska

The Second Stage Theatre Company has announced the complete cast of the upcoming New York premiere of Tracy Letts' Man from Nebraska, directed by David Cromer, which will begin previews at the Tony Kiser Theatre on 26 January 2017, before an official opening on 15 February.

Joining previously announced Tony winner Reed Birney (Ken Carpenter) will be (in alphabetical order) Heidi Armbruster (Pat Monday), Tom Bloom (Bud Todd), Annika Boras (Ashley Kohl), Nana Mensah (Tamyra), Max Gordon Moore (Harry Brown), Kathleen Peirce (Cammie Carpenter), William Ragsdale (Reverend Todd), and J. Smith-Cameron (Nancy Carpenter).

Synopsis: "Sometimes even the most devout can lose their faith. When Ken, a middle aged man from Nebraska, suddenly finds he's lost his, along with his sense of purpose, he goes on a wild adventure to find it. Along the way he encounters a world vastly different from his own, filled with chance meetings and romantic encounters that shake him to the core. From the playwright of August: Osage County, comes a fascinating exploration into what happens when we lose our belief system and the characters that come into our lives on the path to a meaningful existence."

The creative team behind Man from Nebraska features scenic design by Takeshi Kata, costume design by Sarah Laux, lighting design by Keith Parham, and original music & sound design by Daniel Kluger.

Reed Birney can currently be seen in his Tony-winning role of Erik in the Tony-winning Best Play The Humans, which is booking through to 15 January 2017 at Broadway's Gerald Schoenfeld Theatre. His other Broadway credits include his Tony-nominated performance in 'Casa Valentina,' as well as appearances in 'Picnic' and 'Gemini.' His many off-Broadway credits include the 2ST productions of 'The Family of Mann,' 'Loose Knit' and 'Winterplay.'
