25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee: Jessica-Snow Wilson to play Olive Ostrovsky

Jessica-Snow Wilson will assume the role of Olive Ostrovsky in the Broadway production of the Tony Award winning musical comedy 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee from the 19 Sep 2006.

Celia Keenan-Bolger, who received a Tony Award nomination for her performance as Olive Ostrovsky in 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee, will play her final performance on 17 Sep 2006.

Jessica-Snow Wilson has appeared on Broadway in Good Vibrations, Little Shop of Horrors, A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum and Les Mis�rables as well as the City Center Encores! production of Hair. Off-Broadway, the actress was seen in Bingo, Zombie Prom, I Sing and Me and Juliet. Wilson�s other theatrical credits include The Wizard of Oz, Grease, Baby and Stars in Your Eyes. Prior to appearing in Spelling Bee, she will be seen in the world premiere of Wasps In Bed at the Beckett Theatre.

25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee, opened at the Circle In The Square on 2 May 2005, following previews from 15 Apr 2005. The musical originally opened Off-Broadway at Second Stage on 7 Feb 2005, following previews from 11 Jan 2005. The musical is currently booking to 31 Dec 2006.

The musical comedy is about six young people in the throes of puberty, overseen by grown-ups who barely managed to escape childhood themselves, learn that winning isn�t everything and that losing doesn�t necessarily make you a loser.

25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee has music and lyrics by William Finn, book by Rachel Sheinkin and is based on an idea conceived by Rebecca Feldman. The musical is directed by James Lapine, with choreography by Dan Knechtges, costumes by Beowulf Boritt, lighting by Natasha Katz and sound by Dan Moses Schreier.

25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee stars Derrick Baskin (Mitch Mahoney), Deborah Craig (Marcy Park), Barrett Foa (Leaf Coneybear), Josh Gad, (William Barfee), Lisa Howard (Rona Lisa Peretti), Celia Keenan-Bolger (Olive Ostrovsky), Jose Llana (Chip Tolentino), Greg Stuhr (Douglas Panch) and Sarah Saltzberg (Logan Schwarzengrubeniere).
