William Jackson Harper

William Jackson Harper stars as Astrov in Uncle Vanya on Broadway at the Vivian Beaumont Theater through June 16.

Harper is best known for his Emmy Award-nominated performance as Chidi Anagonye in the TV show The Good Place. He is also a stage veteran who made his Broadway debut as Stokely Carmichael/James Harrison in 2013's All the Way.

His numerous Off-Broadway credits include Primary Trust, After The Blast, Ruined, and Titus Andronicus. He also starred opposite Ali Ahn in a 2012 production of Romeo and Juliet in Greenwich, Connecticut.
