Robert Downey Jr. makes his Broadway debut as Jacob McNeal in McNeal on Broadway at the Vivian Beaumont Theater from September 5 to November 24, 2024.
Downey is best known for playing Iron Man/Tony Stark in the Marvel Cinematic Universe films for 10 years, beginning with 2008's Iron Man. In 2023, he won a Golden Globe and the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actor for playing Lewis Strauss in Oppenheimer.
He has two additional Oscar nominations for Chaplin and Tropic Thunder, and he won three other Golden Globes: for Sherlock Holmes, Ally McBeal, and, alongside his castmates, Short Cuts. He also won BAFTA Awards for his performances in Chaplin and Oppenheimer.
