Conor Maynard

British pop singer Conor Maynard was born in Brighton, England. He is best known for his chart-topping songs Can’t Say No and R U Crazy, reaching the top 10 in the UK music charts.

Once he completed his exams at Cardinal Newman Catholic School in Hove, England, he began to build his career on YouTube. His early videos were cover versions of hit songs including Dynamite by Taio Cruz and Only Girl (In the World) by Rihanna. Ne-Yo then noticed his YouTube channel after Maynard covered his song Beautiful Monster.

His debut single Can’t Say No was released in the United Kingdom on April 15, 2012 and went straight to number two in the charts.

Maynard made his Broadway debut as Charlie Price in Kinky Boots on November 19, 2018 and played a limited engagement through January 10, 2019. Maynard had never performed on a Broadway stage before, but after his casting announcement, he said, “I am honored and beyond excited to be able to join the incredible company of Kinky Boots. I’ve always truly admired the talent that performers on Broadway possess and performing alongside them is going to be a real challenge. I’m so lucky to have the most devoted fans on the planet, and I can’t wait to show them another side of me.”
