Boy George, a British singer-songwriter and actor, rose to fame as the frontman of the Grammy Award-winning band Culture Club during the 1980s, becoming an iconic figure in the music industry with hits like "Karma Chameleon" and "Do You Really Want to Hurt Me."
Additionally, he made his Broadway debut writing the songs for and playing Leigh Bowery in the musical Taboo, inspired by his own life and experiences in the 1980s London club scene. He played two runs as Harold Zidler in Moulin Rouge! The Musical on Broadway.
