Women's Project Theater presents its inaugural production at its new home of the McGinn/Cazale Theatre: Dear Elizabeth written by Pulitzer & Tony nominee Sarah Ruhl and directed by Kate Whoriskey , will play a limited six-week engagement from 26 October 2015 through to 5 December 2015.

Synopsis: "An examination of the famed correspondence between Elizabeth Bishop and Robert Lowell - two of the twentieth century's most brilliant poets, Dear Elizabeth tells a tale of unconventional friendship and intimacy that spanned thirty years and more than 400 letters, with postmarks from Maine to Key West, from London to South America."

The rotating cast for the New York premiere is as follows:

26 Oct - 31 Oct: Kathleen Chafant (Elizabeth Bishop) & Harris Yulin (Robert Lowell)

02 Nov - 07 Nov: J. Smith-Cameron (Elizabeth Bishop) & John Douglas Thompson (Robert Lowell)

09 Nov - 14 Nov: TBA

16 Nov - 21 Nov: Cherry Jones (Elizabeth Bishop) & David Aaron Baker (Robert Lowell)

23 Nov - 28 Nov: Ellen McLaughlin (Elizabeth Bishop) & Ride Eckert (Robert Lowell)

30 Nov - 05 Dec: Mia Katigbak (Elizabeth Bishop) & TBA

The role of Stage Manager will be played by Polly Noonan for the entire run, with additional casting to be announced shortly.

The creative team for Dear Elizabeth has also been announced and features scenic design by Antje Ellermann, costume design by Anita Yavich, lighting design by Mary Louise Geiger, and sound design by Jill BC Du Boff & Emily Auciello.
