White's Lies: new dates announced, Tuc Watkins to star



Tuc Watkins, well known to TV audiences as 'Bob Hunter' on "Desperate Housewives" and as con artist & ladies man 'David Vickers' on ABC's "One Life to Live," will play the lead role of 'Joe White' in White's Lies.

Tuc Watkins first appeared in the ongoing role of David Vickers on "One Life to Live" in 1994 & joined the "Desperate Housewives" cast in 2007. He also starred as Malcolm Laffley in the Showtime series "Beggars & Choosers." Other TV credits include guest starring roles on HBO's "Six Feet Under," "CSI," "Cold Case," "Sisters," "NYPD Blue," Santa Barbara" & "General Hospital." His breakthrough film role came in 1999, in The Mummy, with his portrayal of the mild-mannered, bespectacled Mr. Burns. Watkins has extensive stage credits in Los Angeles and regionally, ranging from Julius Caesar to Sexual Perversity in Chicago. In New York he has previously starred on stage in 'Fortune's Fools,' at the Cherry Lane Theatre in 1885.

Watkins joins a cast that includes the previously announced Betty Buckley, Peter Scolari, Christy Carlson Romano, Rena Strober and Jimmy Ray Bennett.

White's Lies by Ben Andron and directed by Bob Cline, has announced a new schedule. The show will now begin previews at New World Stages / Stage 4 on 12 Apr 2010, with opening night now set for 6 May 2010. It was originally scheduled to open on 12 Apr 2010, following previews from 22 Mar 2010.

White's Lies: Some guys are scared stiff at the prospect of settling down, getting married, having kids...and Joe White is no exception. He's a divorce lawyer, representing one of his many ex-girlfriends, and above all else, he's a bachelor who wouldn't have it any other way. So when his mother desperately wants him to start a family, he'll do the next best thing: make one up. What could go wrong? Only love...
