Signature Theatre has announced a 1-week extension for its upcoming production of The Young Man from Atlanta, written by Horton Foote and directed by Michael Wilson, which is set to begin previews at the Irene Diamond Stage within the Pershing Square Signature Center on November 5, 2019, ahead of an official opening on November 24. Originally scheduled to close on December 8, the limited engagement will now run through December 15, 2019.

Synopsis: "Danger waits just underneath the surface in Horton Foote's powerful, Pulitzer Prize-winning drama of an aging couple still reeling from the death of their only child. Set against the backdrop of a rapidly modernizing 1950s Houston, the Kidder family's lives are turned upside down once again when a figure from their son's past shows up in town. They deny, deflect and deceive in an effort to avoid the danger but can't avoid the inevitable reckoning. How far will these grieving parents go to avoid the truths this young man from Atlanta might reveal? The Young Man from Atlanta is a beautiful, heartbreaking play that explores and dissects the American dream while revealing the depths we go to in order to keep ourselves safe."

The cast of The Young Man from Atlanta includes Devon Abner (as Ted Cleveland Jr.), Dan Bittner (as Tom Jackson), Pat Bowie (as Etta Doris), two-time Tony Award nominee Kristine Nielsen (as Lily Dale), Jon Orsini (as Carson), Larry Pine (as Pete Davenport), and two-time Emmy Award nominee Aidan Quinn (as Will Kidder).

The creative team features scenic design by Jeff Cowie, costume design by Van Broughton Ramsey, lighting design by David Lander, and sound design & original music.by John Gromada.

The Young Man from Atlanta Tickets are available now for performances from November 5 through December 15, 2019.
