Start spreading the news! The Broadway League and the American Theatre Wing have officially confirmed that Broadway's biggest night in the 2020 calendar, The 74th Annual Tony Awards, will take place on Sunday, June 7, 2020 at Radio City Music Hall in the heart of New York City. Continuing the tradition, CBS will broadcast the ceremony live, as it has done since 1978, and is committed to do so through to 2026.

In addition, the nominations for next year's Tony Awrds will be announced on Tuesday, April 28, 2020. All Broadway productions in the 2018-2019 season, who officially open on or before the eligibility cut-off date of Thursday, April 23, 2020 (and meet all other requirements) can be considered for nominations.

The 73rd Annual Tony Awards were hosted by Tony and 7-time Emmy Award winner James Corden on Sunday, June 9, 2019, where Hadestown took home an impressive total of 8 Tony Award trophies (including "Best Musical"). Other notable winners at the ceremony included The Ferryman, which took home 4 Tony Awards (including "Best Play"), as well as Rodgers & Hammerstein's Oklahoma! and the star-studded production of The Boys in the Band, which scooped the Tonys for "Best Revival of a Musical" and "Best Revival of a Play", respectively.
