The New Group presents world premiere of Steve
The New Group presents the world premiere of Mark Gerrard's bittersweet comedy Steve, directed by Cynthia Nixon, at the Pershing Square Signature Center's Romulus Linney Courtyard. Previews begin on 3 November 2015, before an official opening on 18 November and a limited run through to 27 December 2015.
Synopsis: "Steve follows Steven, a failed Broadway chorus boy turned stay-at-home dad. As he celebrates his birthday, he faces fear and uncertainty. He worries that Stephen, his partner of 14 years, is cheating on him, his best friend is dying of cancer and he questions what he's done with his life."
The cast includes Matt McGrath, Malcolm Gets, Ashlie Atkinson, Mario Cantone, Jerry Dixon and Francisco Pryor Garat.
The creative team behind Steve features scenic design by Allen Moyer, costume design by Tom Broecker, lighting design by Eric Southern and sound design by Olivia Sebesky.
