MTC's World Premiere of Heisenberg Extends Again

The Manhattan Theatre Club's World Premiere of Simon Stephen's new drama Heisenberg at New York City Center has announced a final extension due to popular demand. The production will now end on 18 July 2015.

Previews began on 19 May 2015, before an official opening on 3 June, and the limited run was originally booking through to 28 June 2015, before extending to 11 July 2015. The production opened to positive reviews with many praising the cast and writing.

The production stars Tony and Emmy Award winner Mary-Louise Parker and Emmy nominee Kenneth Welsh and is directed by Drama Desk Award winner Mark Brokaw.

Acclaimed playwright Simon Stephens is also currently represented on Broadway by The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time at the Ethel Barrymore Theatre.

Synopsis: "Amidst the bustle of a crowded London train station, Clare spots Alex, a much older man, and plants a kiss on his neck. This electric encounter thrusts these two strangers into a fascinating and life-changing game. Heisenberg brings to life the uncertain and often comical sparring match that is human connection."

The creative team behind Heisenberg features scenic design by Mark Wendland, costumes by Michael Krass, lighting by Donald Holder, and original music & sound design by David Van Tieghem.
