The Manhattan Theatre Club has announced complete casting for its upcoming world premiere of Prodigal Son, written and directed by John Patrick Shanley, which will begin previews on 19 January 2016 and officially open on 9 February 2016 at New York City Center's Stage I.

The cast includes Annika Boras (Louise Schmitt), Timothée Chalamet (Jim Rogan), Robert Sean Leonard (Alan Hoffman), Chris McGarry (Carl Schmitt) and David Potters (Austin).

Synopsis: "A 17-year-old boy from The Bronx finds himself suddenly in a private school in New Hampshire. He's violent, gifted, alienated, on fire with a ferocious loneliness. Two faculty members wrestle with the dilemma: Is the kid a star or a disaster? Prodigal Son is a passionate, explosive portrait of a young man on the verge of salvation or destruction."

The creative team has also been announced and features scenic design by Santo Loquasto, costume design by Ann Roth, lighting design by Natasha Katz and sound design by Fitz Patton.
