Manhattan Theatre Club, in association with Williamstown Theatre Festival, has announced the cast of the upcoming New York premiere of Anna Ziegler's new drama Actually, directed by Lileana Blain-Cruz, which begins previews off-Broadway at the New York City Center (Studio at Stage II) on October 31, 2017, before an official opening on November 14 and a limited engagement through to December 3.

Joshua Boone and Alexandra Socha will both reprise their performances as Tom and Amber, respectively, from the world premiere at Williamstown Theatre Festival this past summer. Mr. Boone previously appeared on Broadway in 'Holler If Ya Hear Me' and off-Broadway in Classic Stage Company's 'Mother Courage and Her Children'. Ms. Socha's Broadway credits include 'Brighton Beach Memoirs' and 'Spring Awakening', whilst her off-Broadway credits include 'Fun Home' at the Public Theater and 'Death Takes a Holiday' at the Laura Pels Theatre.

Synopsis: "Amber and Tom are freshmen at Princeton University, where their experiences so far have only two things in common: drunken parties and a desire to fit in. But when they meet, their common experience becomes anything but, and their moral mettle is put to the test. Anna Ziegler's deeply felt and relevant play explores themes of intimacy and responsibility, power and provocation, privilege, and protocol."

The creative team behind Actually features scenic design by Adam Rigg, costume design by Paloma Young, lighting design by Yi Zhao, and sound design by Jane Shaw.

The world premiere of Actually was co-produced by Geffen Playhouse and Williamstown Theatre Festival in the summer of 2017, prior to the off-Broadway engagement.
