Killing Women at the Beckett Theater from 13 May

kef theatrical productions, in association with South Ark Stage, present the New York premiere of Marisa Wegrzyn's comedy, Killing Women, opening at Theatre Row's Beckett Theater on 16 May 2010, following previews from 13 May and running through to 5 Jun 2010.

Killing Women is a comic exploration of the ironies and insanities of corporate America where even professional assassins are fighting for their benefits. When Abby, a star on the rise, is simultaneously denied a promotion and asked to kill another woman, tempers flare, guns fire and out comes a life-or-death game of Monopoly. "Killing Women" asks what happens when a woman is not taken seriously, but she is given a gun.

Directed by Adam Fitzgerald, Killing Women features Autumn Hurlbert, Lori Prince and Michael Puzzo. Further casting to be announced.

Marisa Wegrzyn's plays include Killing Women, 'Psalms of a Questionable Nature,' 'Ten Cent Night,' 'Hickorydickory,' and 'Diversey Harbor.' She received the 2009 Wendy Wasserstein Playwriting Prize for 'Hickorydickory.' Her black comedy 'The Butcher of Baraboo' was produced in Steppenwolf Theatre's 'First Look Repertory' in 2006, premiered Off-Broadway at Second Stage in 2007.

kef theatrical productions is an artist run company. Recent productions include critically acclaimed extended run of "Lyric is Waiting" at Irish Rep, "Artists Rising" (a composer/lyricist showcase) at Theatre Row and (as Associate Producer) the Drama Desk Award winning revival of Israel Horovitz' "Lebensraum".
