Jim Walton is set to join Come From Away on Broadway
Jim Walton assumes the roles of Nick, Doug & others from November 13, 2018 at Broadway's Gerald Schoenfeld Theatre.
Welcome to the Rock! Stage veteran Jim Walton is set to join the Broadway company of smash hit musical Come From Away at the Gerald Schoenfeld Theatre from November 13, 2018. He will assume the roles of Nick, Doug & others, replacing original cast member Lee MacDougall, who will play his final performance in the musical on November 11. Interestingly, Mr. Walton's niece, Emily Walton is currently in rehearsal and will play Janice & others in the show's National Tour which begins October 9 in Seattle.
Jim Walton's previous Broadway credits include Sunset Boulevard, She Loves Me, On the Twentieth Century, The Mystery of Edwin Drood, Bye Bye Birdie, Guys and Dolls, The Music Man, Sweeney Todd, Stardust, Merrily We Roll Along, Perfectly Frank, and 42nd Street.

Directed by Tony Award winner Christopher Ashley and written by Tony Award nominees Irene Sankoff & David Hein, Come From Away began previews at Broadway's Gerald Schoenfeld Theatre on February 18, 2017, and officially opened to excellent reviews on March 12.
Synopsis: "Come From Away is set against the backdrop of that infamous day in September 2001. In a heartbeat, 38 planes and 6,579 passengers were forced to land in Gander, Newfoundland, doubling the population of one small town on the edge of the world. When the world stopped, their stories moved us all."
The creative team behind Come From Away features choreography by Tony Award nominee Kelly Devine, music supervision by Ian Eisendrath, scenic design by Tony Award winner Beowulf Boritt, costume design by Tony Award nominee Toni-Leslie James, lighting design by Tony Award winner Howell Binkley, and sound design by Tony Award nominee Gareth Owen.
Come From Away is produced on Broadway by Junkyard Dog Productions.
