Irish Repertory Theatre presents Dublin Carol

The Off-Broadway revival of Conor McPherson's Dublin Carol begins performances on September 20, 2019 at Irish Rep.

Irish Repertory Theatre will officially kick off its upcoming 2019-2020 Off-Broadway season with a revival of Conor McPherson's Dublin Carol, directed by Ciarán O'Reilly, which is scheduled to begin previews on the Francis J. Greenburger Mainstage on September 20, 2019, ahead of an official opening on October 1 and a limited run through November 10, 2019.

Synopsis: "John Plunkett is haunted by memories of a shameful past and shattered life. On Christmas Eve, an unexpected visit from his estranged daughter, Mary, forces John to confront his demons and grapple with his chance at redemption."

The cast of Dublin Carol includes Jeffrey Bean (as John), Cillian Hegarty (as Mark), and Sarah Street (as Mary).

The creative team features scenic design by Charlie Corcoran, costume design by Leon Dobkowski, lighting design by Michael Gottlieb, sound design by M. Florian Staab & Ryan Rumery, and props by Sven Henry Nelson.

Playwright Conor McPherson will also be represented on Broadway this spring with the Broadway premiere of Girl from the North Country, featuring the songs of Bob Dylan, at the Belasco Theatre from February 7, 2020.

Irish Rep's current production of Little Gem, starring four-time Academy Award nominee and two-time Golden Globe Award winner Marsha Mason, continues its extended run on the Francis J. Greenburger Mainstage through September 8, 2019.
