Hedda Gabler: Tickets are now on sale to the general public
Tickets are now on sale to the public for the Roundabout Theatre Company's Broadway revival of Hedda Gabler by Henrik Ibsen, featuring a new adaptation by Christopher Shinn and directed by Ian Rickson.
The revival opens at the American Airline Theatre on 25 Jan 2009, following previews from 6 Jan, for a limited engagement playing through to 29 Mar 2009.
Mary-Louise Parker stars as Hedda Gabler in this new interpretation of Henrik Ibsens modern classic. A woman of dangerous independence restrained by a conventional marriage, Hedda Gabler indulges in a cruel game, amusing herself with the misfortune she inflicts on those around her. As Hedda struggles to balance her wild desires against her chosen life, she sets into motion a manic chain of events that bring her story to a chilling end.
The show also stars Michael Cerveris (Jorgen Tesman), Paul Sparks (Ejlert Lovborg), and Peter Stormare (Judge Brack) and will also feature Lois Markle (Berte), Ana Reeder (Mrs. Thea Elvsted) and Helen Carey (Miss Juliane Tesman).
The design team includes Hildegard Bechtler (Sets), Ann Roth (Costumes), Natasha Katz (Lights) and John Gromada (Sound).
The production marks Tony, Emmy & Golden Globe winning actress Mary-Louise Parkers return to Broadway following her 2004 Tony-nominated performance in Craig Lucas 'Reckless.'
Michael Cerveris returns to Roundabout Theatre Company, where he won a Tony Award for 'Assassins' in 2004.

He can be seen opposite Willem Dafoe in 'Anamorph' and 'Witless Protection' with Larry the Cable Guy which were both released this year.
Lois Markle's Broadway credits include 'Something Old, Something New' (1977), 'A Warm Body' (1967), 'Abraham Cochrane' (1964) and 'Calculated Risk' (1962). She understudied the role of 'Mom' in 'True West' (2000 revival).
Ana Reed was seen on Broadway earlier this year when she played 'Dull Gret/Nell' in 'Top Girls.' She made her Broadway debut in 'Sight Unseen' (2004).
