Perhaps the most eagerly anticipated production of Atlantic Theater Company's upcoming season has now found its director. Obie and Lucille Lortel Award winner Anne Kauffman will helm the previously announced world premiere musical The Bedwetter, which is scheduled to play the Linda Gross Theater next spring.

Ms. Kauffmann has over twenty Off-Broadway directorial credits to her résumé and has worked with such esteemed companies as Ars Nova, New York Theatre Workshop, WP Theater, Playwrights Horizons, MCC Theater, Lincoln Center Theater, the Vineyard Theatre, and the Public Theater since 2004. She also made her Broadway debut with Roundabout Theatre Company's production of Marvin's Room in 2017.

Originally scheduled to run from May 9 through June 28, 2020 (and officially opening on June 10), the production has now been moved forward and will play a limited engagement from April 25 through June 14, 2020 (with an opening night yet to be confirmed).

Synopsis: "Meet Sarah. She's funny. She's dirty. She's 10. And she's got a secret that you'll never guess (unless you read the title)."

The Bedwetter is based on two-time Emmy Award winner Sarah Silverman's bestselling memoir of the same name. The tuner features a book by Ms. Silverman and Drama Desk Award winner Joshua Harmon, music by Grammy & two-time Emmy Award winner and Academy Award nominee Adam Schlesinger, and lyrics by Ms. Silverman and Mr. Schlesinger.

Casting and additonal creative team information for the production will be announced at a later date.
