Second Stage Theatre has announced a world premiere production to end its 2015-2016 off-Broadway season. Following the success of playwright Leslye Headland and director Trip Cullman's calloboration on the Second Stage Uptown hit comedy Bachelorette, the duo have once again teamed up for Layover, which will begin previews at 2ST's Tony Kiser Theatre on 2 August 2016, before an official opening in mid-August 2016.

Synopsis: "Ever wonder who that stranger is sitting next to you? What is their story? What are they hiding? Shellie and Dex dare to answer these questions after their flight is delayed on a snowy Thanksgiving night. What they discover about themselves, and each other, sends both of their lives into upheaval. Layover asks the question: Can you ever really get to know somebody when you're hiding so much yourself?"

Casting and further creative team information for Layover will be released at a later date.
