Mark Shenton

Thanks to his many years working extensively in the theatre industry, Mark Shenton has accumulated a massive following on social media, with well over 40K followers on Twitter alone. He has served as the lead critic for the London Theatre Guide (www.LondonTheatre.co.uk) since 2014 and was delighted to extend his coverage to the bright lights of Broadway, writing for the New York Theatre Guide since spring 2019. Mark has been working full-time as a theatre critic on both sides of the Atlantic since 2002, following positions as Head of Publishing at Dewynters and as Managing Editor at the Press Association, and has regularly contributed to such esteemed outlets as The Guardian and The Stage, as well as serving as the theatre critic for The Sunday Express for 11 years. Mark is also currently the President of the Critics' Circle, having previously functioned as the Chairman of its theatre section for 9 years.
