Your Basic American Monday at the Bank Street Theatre

3Graces Theater Co presents Your Basic American Monday, by L.E. McCullough, at the Bank Street Theatre from 29 Sep - 16 Oct 2007.

Your Basic American Monday: Set in a standard roadside diner, the play presents 33 interwoven monologues that offer an enlightening, unnerving slice of contemporary America as related by Waitress, Hustler, Business Woman, Working Woman, Vagrant, College Girl, Teenager and Soccer Mom.

The stories told by each character venture further and further along a twisted and unraveling path, intersecting in seemingly coincidental yet inevitable fashion, until the characters identities blur and re-emerge in the most startling manner: a woman facing down the specter of death in a corned beef sandwich. . . a mother pleading for the return of her kidnapped son. . . a beggar transformed for one shining moment into a life-saving heroine.

Directed by Kathleen Bishop, Your Basic American Monday features: Dacyl Acevedo, Margot Avery, Kally Duling, Anita Hollander, Kate Kearney-Patch, Krystal Marshall, Joan Preston and Deborah Jean Templin.
