Wanda's World extends its run through to 10 Feb


Amas Musical Theatre's, in association with Terry Schnuck, world premiere of the new musical Wanda's World - A Musical for the Tweens in All of Us, extends its run by one week, and will now play through to 10 Feb 2008

The musical began previews at the 45th Street Theatre on 16 Jan 2008, and opens on 23 Jan 2008. The musical was originally scheduled to close on 3 Feb 2008.

Wanda's World has book by Eric H. Weinberger, music and lyrics by Beth Falcone, and story by Eric H. Weinberger and Beth Falcone.

Wanda's World is a new family musical, especially designed for 'tweens', that generation of emerging, almost adolescents. Wanda Butternut is the popular host of the hit TV talk show, Wanda�s World, where kids call in to get help solving their problems. She is beautiful, confident and always knows what to say�in her fantasy. In real life, Wanda has a unique problem of her own and is dreading her first day of school in a new town.

Directed and choreographed by Lynne Taylor-Corbett, Wanda's World features Sandie Rosa (Wanda), Lakisha Anne Bowen, Jennifer Bowles, Michael Dexter, James Royce Edwards, Leo Ash Evans, Devin Ilaw, Heather Jane Rolff, Christine Scharf, Chris Vettel and Valerie Wrights.

The design team comprises Beowulf Boritt (sets), Aaron Spivey (lighting) and Bret Jarvis (sound).
