Twisted Sister frontman Dee Snider will return to Broadway in Rocktopia

Ahead of tonight's official opening of the Broadway premiere of Rocktopia, producers have announced that multi-platinum recording artist Dee Snider, lead singer of Twisted Sister, will return to Broadway as a special guest vocalist at the Broadway Theatre from April 9 through to April 15, 2018.

Mr. Snider has been the frontman of Twisted Sister since 1976, enjoying widespread success with hits such as "We're Not Gonna Take It," "I Wanna Rock," and "Leader of the Pack." He previously made his Broadway debut as Dennis in the Tony-nominated musical Rock of Ages, playing a limited engagement from October 19 through to December 24, 2010.

Pat Monahan, a three-time Grammy Award winner and frontman of multi-platinum-selling band Train, continues as special guest vocalist in his Broadway debut engagement through to April 8, whilst Rock and Roll Hall of Famer Robin Zander, lead singer of Cheap Trick, will officially make his Broadway debut for the final week of the production from April 23 through to April 29, 2018.

The Broadway company of Rocktopia also includes Rob EvanChloe LoweryTony VincentKimberly Nichole, and Alyson Cambridge

Rocktopia began previews on March 20, with an official opening set for tonight, March 27 and a limited run through to April 29, 2018.

Rocktopia is billed as "an explosive musical event that fuses the most iconic 20th-Century rock with world-renowned classical compositions, featuring world-class vocalists—backed by a full symphony orchestra, an electrifying rock band, and a choir performing the works of musical innovators including Journey, Mozart, Queen, Handel, U2, Tchaikovsky, Heart, Beethoven, Led Zeppelin, Copland, The Who and more."

The Rocktopia band is comprised of Grammy and Emmy Award nominated violinist Máiréad Nesbitt, guitarist Tony Bruno, pianist Henry Aronson, bass player Mat Fieldes, and drummer Alex Alexander.

Rocktopia is produced on Broadway by ROCKTOPIA Broadway LLC in association with Hughes Wall LLC.

The Broadway Theatre will then host the Broadway premiere of monster musical King Kong, which is set to begin previews on October 5, 2018, before an official opening on November 8.

Rocktopia Tickets are available now for performances through to April 29, 2018.
