Trophy Wife at La MaMa E.T.C.
La MaMa E.T.C. and Watson Arts presents Trophy Wife, a musical adaptation of Anton Chekhov's short story 'Anna on the Neck' - book by Mary Fulham, lyrics by Paul Foglino and music by Terry Waldo, at the La MaMa E.T.C. Club from 12 - 22 Apr 2007.
Trophy Wife: Anna Pennington, a beautiful 19 year old girl, marries middle-aged Moe Schmertz for his money in a desperate attempt to save her family from financial ruin and social disgrace. To her horror, she very quickly discovers that Moe is a penny-pinching stuffed shirt, and that she has sold herself very cheap.
Directed by Mary Fulham and choreographed by Heidi Latsky, Trophy Wife features Sharon Ann Farrell, Brian P. Glover, William Ryall, Joan Jaffe, Lisa Passero, Jacqueline Kroschell, Will MacAdam, Max Lodge, Jack Slattery and Michael Rader.
Set design by Gregory John Mercurio, with costumes by Ramona Ponce, lighting by Federico Restrepo and sound by Tim Schellenbaum.
