The Understudy extends run by two weeks

The Roundabout Theatre Company's production of Theresa Rebeck's comedy, The Understudy, extends its run by two weeks and will now play through to 17 Jan 2010.

The Understudy: The star he's working with doesn't get the play. The disgruntled stage manager happens to be his ex-fiance. The set technician is high. Just another day in the life of an understudy. The most thankless job in theatre takes centre stage in this comic look at the underbelly of the acting world.

Directed by Scott Ellis, The Understudy features Julie White (Roxanne), Mark-Paul Gosselaar (Jake) and Justin Kirk (Harry).

The production features sets by Alexander Dodge, costumes by Tom Broecker, lighting by Kenneth Posner and sound design by Obadiah Eaves.
