The Siblings at the WorkShop Theatre

Rabbit Hole Ensemble presents The Siblings, by Edward Elefterion, playing at WorkShop Theatre from 17 Jul - 6 Aug 2006, as part of the 7th Midtown International Theatre Festival.

The Siblings is a philosophical riff on the classic Grimms fairytale Hansel and Gretel. In this version the children and their parents are allegedly the only inhabitants of a barren, cold planet. They follow the direction of Him, a voice that speaks in dreams. They have been good sheep and have followed all of His ordersuntil now. When the parents are told that they will only be able to prosper and live if they destroy and eat the little ones, the children become suspicious and flee. They come upon the infamous old ladys house in the woods and meet yet another who wants to eat them. Murder begets murder, and few survive this bloody tale of faith and following.

Directed by Edward Elefterion, The Siblings features Arthur Aulisi, Amanda Broomell, Paul Daily, Kathryn Velvel Jones, Catherine Siracusa, and Emily Surabian.
