The Madras House extends by two weeks

Mint Theater Company's production of The Madras House, by Harley Granville-Barker, has extended its run by two weeks because of ticket demand. The play which was to close on 11 Mar 2007, will now run through to 25 Mar 2007.

The Madras House opened at the Mint Theater on 18 Feb 2007, following previews from 31 Jan.

The Madras House: Phillip Madras is the heir to a leading London fashion emporium established by his father Constantine, a legendary designer who has abandoned his family and the evils of the West, converted to Islam, and established a polygamous household in Iraq. Constantines return to England to sell the family business precipitates a series of loosely connected scenes that serve as 'a merciless critique of that ragbag of attitudes we now call family values. '

Directed by Gus Kaikkonen, The Madras House features Roberta Maxwell (Amelia Madras), George Morfogen (Constantine Madras), Laurie Kennedy and Jonathan Hogan.

Set Design by Charles Morgan, with costumes by Clint Ramos and lighting by William Armstrong.
