The Lucille Lortel 2012 Award nominations



The League Of Off-broadway Theatres & Producers have announced the nominations for the 27th Annual 2012 Lucille Lortel Awards for outstanding achievement Off-broadway.

The winners of the 2012 Lucille Lortel Awards will be announced at the Awards Ceremony on the 6 May 2012 at NYU Skirball Center.

'Once' leads the pack with 7 nominations, followed by 'Tribes' with six nominations.

Four special awards will also be presented:

  • Lifetime Achievement Award: Richard Frankel
  • Playwrights' Sidewalk Inductee: Richard Foreman
  • Service to Off-Broadway: Fire Department of the City of New York (FDNY)
  • Outstanding Alternative Theatrical Experience: Voca People

Awarded since 1986, the Lucille Lortel Awards are produced by the League by special arrangement with the Lucille Lortel Foundation.
