TACT (The Actors Company Theatre) presents The Hot L Baltimore, by Lanford Wilson, at the Florence Gould Hall from the 6 - 8 May 2006.
The Hot L Baltimore is seedy, run down, and slated for demolition. Over the course of a day, the group of residents who call the Hotel Baltimore home, meet, talk, and play out the everyday encounters that make up the human comedy.
The cast for The Hot L Baltimore, directed by Victor Pappas, features Jamie Bennett, Nora Chester, Cynthia Darlow, Richard Ferrone, Delphi Harrington, Kelly Hutchinson, James Prendergast, Scott Schafer, Ashley West, Bob Braswell, Eli Ganias, Elizabeth Meadows Rouse, and Adina Verson.
The play has original music by John Slover, lighting by Mary Louise Geiger and costumes by Suzanne Chesney.
First presented by the Circle Repertory Company, The Hot L Baltimore (1973) was directed by Marshall W. Mason and eventually transferred to Broadway; it ran for a total of 1,100 performances. The production was awarded the New York Drama Critics' Circle Award, the Outer Circle Award, and an Obie.
