This musical comedy takes place in the Vienna of 1904 where determined bachelor Anatol (Paul Green) had, with the aid of his best friend Max (Doug Shapiro) and valet Franz (Roger Rifkin) successfully avoided the feminine whiles of three of the most alluring women in Vienna (all played by Barbara McCulloh). Called The Gay Life when it opened on Broadway on the 18 Nov 1961, it originally starred Barbara Cook, Walter Chiari, Jules Munchin and Elizabeth Allen. Songs include: "Im Glad Im Single," "Magic Moment," "Who Can? You Can?," "Why Go Anywhere at All," and "Im Ready for a Frau."

The High Life will be the 32nd revival in Musicals Tonights salute to classic American Musical Theatre. The show will be directed by Thomas Mills, with musical direction provided by James Stenborg.
