The Fascinating Foundling/Farfetched Fables at the Players Club

Gingold Theatrical Group's Pooject Shaw presents a play reading of The Fascinating Foundling/Farfetched Fables, two one-acts by George Bernard Shaw, at The Players Club on 21 Apr 2008.

In 1909's The Fascinating Foundling, a man and a woman are very definite about what they will and what they won't tolerate in a mate. Having little or no family is a plus. A lawyer and his aid unwittingly help them find each other.

Farfetched Fables, from 1949, takes us on six separate journeys. Starting in 1949 and jumping well into the future, we get a chance to see just how absurd we are in the present and just how little we may change.

Directed by David Staller, The Fascinating Foundling features Kate Mulgrew, Victor Slezak, Lenny Wolpe, Simon Jones and Charlotte Moore.

Project Shaw is Gingold Theatrical Group's on going project to present to New York audiences every sketch, full-length and one-act play written by George Bernard Shaw.
