The Boys from Syracus at CAP21


CAP21 presents The Boys from Syracus, music by Richard Rodgers, lyrics by Lorenz Hart, book by George Abbott, based on The Comedy of Errors by William Shakespeare, at CAP21 from 3 - 13 Apr 2008.

The Boys from Syracus: Two sets of twins, separated at birth by unfortunate accident, wander unwittingly through the escalating comic madness of Ephesus, each unaware of the other. The jazz-infliected score includes the standards "This Can't Be Love," "Falling in Love With Love," and "Sing for Your Supper."

Directed by Lawrence Arancio and choreographed by James Bulleri, The Boys from Syracus features Julia Bray, Peter Burke, Matt Dengler, Caroline Dooner, Melanie Dusel, Alexandra Fiber, Craig Fogel, Jacob Hoffman, Miles Jackson, Collin Leydon, Megan Mekjian, Robert Metzbower, Nick Moore, Ashley Mortensen, Cailan Robinson, Casey Rogers, Carole Ashley Schweitzer, Sandra Shahbazian, Lauren Alexander Sowa, Sonnet Sparacino, Matthew Steele, John Vorsteg, Kevin Wade, Jessica Wagner and Victoria Weinberg.

The cast is comprised of students from the CAP21 Conservatory, the musical theater training studio serving New York University's Tisch School of the Arts.
