Playwrights Horizons has set the complete cast for its world-premiere spring musical, Teeth, running from February 21 to March 31. Opening night is March 12.

Teeth is adapted from writer/director Mitchell Lichtenstein's 2007 film of the same name about Dawn O’Keefe, a Christian teen learning how to navigate a sexual phenonemon: that her body literally bites back when men try to violate it. Bookwriter/lyricist Michael R. Jackson (A Strange Loop) and bookwriter/composer Anna K. Jacobs adapt the story for the stage.

Alyse Alan Louis stars as Dawn in Teeth off Broadway after performing in Jackson's last new musical, White Girl in Danger, last spring. The Teeth cast also includes Courtney Bassett as Promise Keeper Girl Becky, Phoenix Best as Promise Keeper Girl Fiona, Will Connolly as Brad O’Keefe, Jason Gotay as Tobey/Truthseeker, Jenna Rose Husli as Promise Keeper Girl Trisha, Jared Loftin as Ryan/Truthseeker, Lexi Rhoades as Promise Keeper Girl Rachael, Wren Rivera as Promise Keeper Girl Stephanie, and Helen J Shen as Promise Keeper Girl Keke.

The creative team, led by director Sarah Benson, includes choreographer Raja Feather Kelly, set designer Adam Rigg, costume designer Enver Chakartash, lighting designers Jane Cox and Stacey Derosier, sound designer Palmer Hefferan, orchestrator Kris Kukul, special effects designer Jeremy Chernick, music supervisor Julie McBride, music contractor Kristy Norter, intimacy director Crista Marie Jackson, and fight director Robert Westley.
