Sink your teeth into this! Teeth, the musical adaptation of the 2007 film of the same name, will play a second Off-Broadway engagement at New World Stages this fall. Performances begin in October, with exact dates to be announced.

The show, adapted by Pulitzer Prize and Tony Award winner Michael R. Jackson (book and lyrics) and Anna K. Jacobs (book and music) from Mitchell Lichtenstein's screenplay, premiered off Broadway at Playwrights Horizons earlier this year. New York Theatre Guide's Teeth review reads, "Jacobs and Jackson’s score will become an instant cult classic."

The film has since become a cult classic, too. The movie and show follow Dawn, a deeply religious teen who discovers she has "vagina dentata" — a vagina with teeth. At first confused and scared of her situation, she soon discovers the power of her body to bite back — literally — against men who try to wrong her.

Teeth earned 2024 Drama Desk, Outer Critics Circle, Drama League, and Lortel Award nominations for Best New Musical. The show is directed by Sarah Benson and choreographed by Raja Feather Kelly.

Casting for Teeth off Broadway has yet to be announced.
