The current revival of Sweeney Todd began performances at the Lunt-Fontanne Theatre on February 26 and officially opens on March 26. It is the third Broadway revival of Stephen Sondheim and Hugh Wheeler's musical, which won eight Tony Awards for its 1979 premiere.

Grammy Award nominee Josh Groban plays the title character of Sweeney Todd, a barber who swears vengeance — and death — on a judge who wronged him. Tony Award winner Annaleigh Ashford stars opposite Groban as Mrs. Lovett, Todd's accomplice as his revenge plot turns into a murder spree.

The show features popular show tunes including "A Little Priest," "Johanna," and "The Ballad of Sweeney Todd."
