Summer and Smoke extends limited run at Classic Stage Company
Tennessee Williams' Summer and Smoke will now play its final performance at Classic Stage Company on Friday, May 25, 2018.
Following last night's official opening off-Broadway, Classic Stage Company has now added an additional five performances for its current production of Summer and Smoke - the first-ever Tennesse Williams play to be presented by the company in its storied history. Previews began on April 13, 2018, and the limited engagement will now run through to May 25, 2018 (instead of May 20).

Synopsis: "Set in turn-of-the-century Mississippi, Summer and Smoke tells the story of a local minister's daughter who walks the line between piety and sensuality with the neighborhood doctor who grew up next door."
Tony Award nominee Marin Ireland takes on the lead role of Alma Winemiller in the production alongside Nathan Darrow (as John Buchanan), Glenna Brucken (as Rosemary), Phillip Clark (as Dr. Buchanan), Hannah Elless (as Nellie Ewell), Elena Hurst (as Rosa Gonzales), Tina Johnson (as Mrs. Bassett), Gerardo Rodriguez (as Papa Gonzales), T. Ryder Smith (as Reverend Winemiller), Ryan Spahn (as Archie Kramer), Jonathan Spivey (as Roger Doremus), and Tony Award nominee Barbara Walsh (as Mrs. Winemiller).
Summer and Smoke is directed by Jack Cummings III and features original music by Tony Award nominee Michael John LaChiusa. The creative team also features scenic design by Dane Laffrey, costume design by Kathryn Rohe, lighting design by R. Lee Kennedy, and sound design by Walter Trarbach.
Summer and Smoke is co-produced off-Broadway by Classic Stage Company and Transport Group.
Summer and Smoke Tickets are available now for performances through to May 25, 2018.
