Gerard Alessandrini's hit parody Spamilton, which lovingly spoofs the Broadway smash hit musical Hamilton as well as other current Broadway productions, has now moved to a new home and will begin performances at the 47th Street Theater (also known as The Puerto Rican Traveling Theater) tonight. An official opening for the open-ended engagement at the new venue will be held on June 19.

The new production has been updated to include references to the productions and stars of the current Broadway season, including Bette Midler, Glenn Close, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, Natasha, Pierre & The Great Comet of 1812, and Anastasia, to name just a few.

The cast of Spamilton currently includes Dan Rosales, Nicole Vanessa Ortiz, Chris Anthony Giles, Aaron Michael Ray, and Tristan J. Shuler.

Gerard Alessandrini - the mastermind behind the cult hit Forbidden Broadway - serves as the show's creator, writer and director. Joining him in the creative team are choreographer Gerry McIntyre and costume designer Dustin Cross. Musical arrangements are provided by Fred Barton and Richard Danley.

Spamilton originally premiered at The Triad in July 2016. The musical comedy revue is produced off-Broadway by John Freedson, Christine Pedi, David Zippel, and Gerard Alessandrini.
