'Slag Heap' : Vincent Kartheiser joins cast

Vincent Kartheiser joins the cast of Slag Heap, by Anton Dudley, opening at the Cherry Lane Theater on the 13 Apr 2005, following previews from the 29 Mar. The show is scheduled to close on the 7 May 2005. (Update: Closed 30 Apr 2005)

Set in Manchester, England, Slag Heap is the strangely hilarious yet moving chronicle of teenage prostitutes, born from Thatcher's politics in the aftermath of Britain's Industrial Revolution in a world where the buying and selling of humanity has become the primary industry.

"The theatre has always been my first love," said Kartheiser. "I'm thrilled to be part of this production at Cherry Lane Theatre and excited to be working with this amazing company."

Vincent Kartheiser stared in the comedy drama series 'Angel' in 2002, and the films "Another Day In Paradise" and "Crime and Punishment in Suburbia".

Slag Heap also features Brienin Bryant, Alexander Flores, Polly Lee, Maggie Moore, and Janelle Anne Robinson.

The show is directed by Michael Morris, with design by Michael Brown, costumes by Michael Krass, lighting by Jeff Croiter and sound by Bart Fasbender. It is produced by the Cherry Lane Theatre Company.
