‘Six’ confirms Broadway return to Brooks Atkinson Theatre
Six tickets on Broadway will be available soon.
With Broadway theatres now reopening across the city for one-off performances, some productions are beginning to reveal details on their return. Six will reopen at the Brooks Atkinson Theatre from Sept. 17, 2021, with an opening night on Oct. 3, 2021.
In a tweet from the production, Six presale tickets will be on sale from May 6 - May 10. Further details, including a performance schedule will be announced in due course.
Combining history, heartbreak and pop music, Six sees Henry VIII's wives take to the mics to share their story. After regional performances, Six premiered in the West End in 2019 and received five Olivier Award nominations, including best new musical.
Six made its Broadway premiere at the Brooks Atkinson Theatre on Feb. 13, 2020. The Six opening night was due to take place on Mar. 12, 2020, but that was the night that all Broadway theatres were forced to close.
Casting for Six 's Broadway return has not been confirmed. Prior to the Broadway lockdown, the cast included Adrianna Hicks as Catherine of Aragon, Andrea Macasaet as Anne Boleyn, Abby Mueller as Jane Seymour, Brittney Mack as Anna of Cleves, Samantha Pauly as Katherine Howard and Anna Uzele as Catherine Parr.
The news of Six tickets on sale follows Governor Cuomo's news that Broadway theatres can reopen from Sept. 14, 2021. Other musicals which have confirmed a reopening include Chicago at the Ambassador Theatre, Jagged Little Pill at the Broadhurst Theatre and Diana: The Musical at the Longacre Theatre. The Music Man will begin performances at the Winter Garden Theatre from December 20.
