Shakespeare in the Parking Lot presents 'Twelfth Night' and 'Henry V

The Drilling Company present Shakespeare in the Parking Lot, which this year will present free performances of Twelfth Night (3 - 19 Jul 2008) and Henry V (24 Jul - 9 Aug 2008) at The Municipal Parking Lot on the corner of Ludlow and Broome streets.

Artistic director Hamilton Clan exlains, "It's a working parking lot. We provide about 70 chairs � first come, first sit. We also provide blankets and mats and many folks bring their own chair."

Twelfth Night: Separated in a shipwreck from her twin brother and believing him dead, Viola disguises herself as a boy and is employed by Count Orsino to woo the reluctant Lady Olivia. Olivia is indeed finally awoken from her own grief by a new love, but for the servant and not the master, whilst Viola herself has fallen head over heels for the Count. The play is set in the independent music world of New York.

Directed by Kathy Curtis, Twelfth Night features David Adams, Alessandro Collos, Kwaku Driskell, Adam Fujita, Bill Green, Michael Gnat, Karla Hendrick, David Matantz, Maria McConville, Iriemumen Oniha and Will Schneider.

Henry V: A play about a King who takes his country to war because he believes God is on his side.

Directed by Laura Strausfeld, Henry V features Ivory Aquino, Selene Beretta, Stephanie Carll, Don Carter, Hamilton Clancy, Patricia Chilsen, Sergio Diaz, James Davies, Courtney Esser, Dennis Gagomiros, John K. Heath, Jonathan Marballi, Camilla Rahbery, Joann Sacco, Aimee Whelan and Ray Wortel.
