See Rock City... at the Duke from 17 Jul - 8 Aug 2010

The Transport Group Theatre Company presents the pop-rock musical, See Rock City & Other Destinations, music by Brad Alexander, with book and lyrics by Adam Mathias, opening at the Duke On 42nd Street on 25 Jul 2010, following previews from 17 Jul, and running through to 8 Aug 2010.

See Rock City & Other Destinations is a contemporary pop-rock musical road trip that ventures to tourist destinations across America, mapping out stories of sightseers in search of fellow travelers: a wanderer believes his destiny is written on rooftops along the North Carolina interstate; a young man yearns to connect with intelligent life in Roswell, New Mexico; a woman at the Alamo steps out of the shadow of her past to take a chance on love; estranged sisters cruise to Glacier Bay to scatter their father's ashes; high school boys face unexpected fears in a Coney Island spook house; a terrified bride-to-be ponders taking the leap...over Niagara Falls.

Director Jack Cummings III will stage the production in an unconventional format, where the audience will have the experience of enjoying the journey in the midst of the action.

The cast features Stanley Bahorek ('The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee'), Donna Lynne Champlin ('Billy Elliot,' 'Sweeney Todd'), Jonathan Hammond ('Ragtime'), Ryan Hilliard, Mamie Parris ('Ragtime,' '110 in the Shade,' 'The Drowsy Chaperone'), Bryce Ryness ('HAIR,' 'Legally Blonde') and Sally Wilfert ('Assassins,' 'The Adventures of Tom Sawyer').

The musical features set and costume Design by Dane Laffrey and lighting Design by R. Lee Kennedy.

See Rock City & Other Destinations received a development workshop with Transport Group in 2009; the 2010 production will be this show's official New York City premiere.
