Second Stage Theater has revealed initial casting for the previously announced New York premiere of Make Believe, written by Drama Desk Award recipient Bess Wohl and directed by four-time Tony Award nominee Michael Greif, which is set to begin previews at 2ST's Tony Kiser Theater on July 30, 2019, ahead of an official opening on August 15 and a limited engagement through to September 15, 2019.

The cast includes Kim Fischer (as Chris), Susannah Flood (as Addie), Ryan Foust (as Chris), Harrison Fox (as Carl), Maren Heary (as Kate), Brad Heberlee (as Carl), and Samantha Mathis (as Kate). Additional casting will be announced shortly.

Synopsis: "When does real life collide with make believe? For the four Conlee kids, ages 5 to 10, playing house is no longer a game when their parents inexplicably disappear. Thirty-two years later, their search for answers continues. Make Believe offers a look inside the minds of children, their parents and the mysteries of childhood that haunt us forever."

Bess Wohl is also currently represented off-Broadway by Manhattan Theatre Club's world premiere of Continuity, directed by Tony Award nominee Rachel Chavkin, at New York City Center until June 19, 2019. Her previous off-Broadway credits include Small Mouth SoundsPretty Filthy, and American Hero (which was mounted by Second Stage Uptown in 2014).

Michael Greif has previously collaborated with Second Stage on such celebrated productions as Next to Normal, Boys' Life, A Parallelogram, and Dear Evan Hansen.
