Reaser replaces Graham in MCC's The Money Shot
Heather Graham has officially left the cast of the world premiere production of Neil LaBute's new play The Money Shot. She has reportedly departed in order to work on her new film 'Half Magic', which she will write, direct and star in. However, it has now been confirmed that she will be replaced by Elizabeth Reaser, who is widely known as Esme Cullen, the matriarch of the 'Twilight' Saga's Cullen clan.
Elizabeth Reaser last appeared off-Broadway at the Second Stage Theatre in 'How I Learned to Drive' in 2012. Her other stage credits include 'The Winter's Tale' for the Classic Stage Company and 'Top Girls'. Besides her appearances in the four 'Twilight' movies, her other film and TV credits include 'Young Adult', 'The Good Wife', 'Saved', 'The Ex List' and 'Grey's Anatomy'.
The MCC Theater world premiere production of The Money Shot, directed by Terry Kinney, officially opens on 22 September 2014 at the Lucille Lortel Theatre, following previews from 4 September 2014, and closes on 12 October 2014.
Synopsis: "Karen and Steve are glamorous movie stars with one thing in common: desperation. It's been years since either one's had a hit, but the latest movie by a hot shot European director could change that. The night before filming a big scene (that seems destined to assure them a spot back on the pop culture radar), Karen, her partner Bev, Steve, and his aspiring actress wife Missy meet in order to make an important decision: how far will they let themselves go to keep from slipping further down the Hollywood food chain?"
The complete cast includes Elizabeth Reaser (Karen), Frederick Weller (Steve), Gia Crovatin and Callie Thorne.
