Rantoul and Die: adds two extra performances
The Amoralists have added two additional performances to the NY premiere of Mark Roberts dark comedy Rantoul and Die. The two additional performances will take place Sat 13 Jul and Sat 20 Jul at 2pm.
Rantoul and Die opened at the Cherry Lane Theatre on 24 Jun 2013, following previews from 05 Jun 2013, and will run through to 20 Jul 2013.
The comedy opened to mixed reviews: This tale of a sour, violent marriage is funny - darkly, darkly funny (NY Times); Audaciously crude and equally entertaining (NY Daily News); No dramatic tension whatsoever (NY Post)
Rantoul and Die: Rallis and Debbie's marriage has reached its expiration date. In fact, it's soured and stuck to the bottom of the carton. She wants him to pack his stuff and hit the bricks, but he's clinging to the past like a cat on a screen door. How far will a man go to hang onto his lady? It's a thin line between love and hate. A kiss and a punch. An ice cream cone and a beer bottle to the back of the head.
Directed by Jay Stull, the cast of Rantoul and Die features Derek Ahonen (Rallis), Sarah Lemp (Debbie), Matthew Pilieci (Gary) and Vanessa Vache (Callie).
The creative team features scenic design by Alfred Schatz, costumes by Jaime Torres, lighting by Evan Roby and sound by Jeanne Travis.
