A show tune a day keeps the quarantine blues at bay...

I believe that the New York Theatre community will ultimately recover from the disastrous impact of the current COVID-19 pandemic and I also believe that laughter is a great temporary remedy. Arguably Broadway's most hilarious show (presently in lockdown) has to be the 2011 Tony Award-winning 'Best Musical' The Book of Mormon, so it's time for our Salt Lake City friends to spread a little joy with a Mormon-themed #QuaranTune of the day!

"I Believe" was written by Robert Lopez (also represented on Broadway by Disney's Frozen) alongside Matt Stone and Trey Parker (creators of TV's "South Park"). It was originally performed by Andrew Rannells, who originated the role of Elder Price, earning his first Tony Award nomination.

The Book of Mormon swept the board at The 65th Annual Tony Awards, winning a total of nine out of its fourteen Tony nominations. And here's Mr. Rannells' show-stopping performance from that epic night...

I can't allow myself to have any doubt. It's time to set my worries free. Time to show the world what Elder Price is about and share the power inside of me. (Elder Price, The Book of Mormon)
